As soon as we got out of our car (we had been driving for 3 and a half hours and traveling for over a week) we were greeted by the valet staff with warm smiles and an eagerness to help! They helped load all our luggage and interacted with us with a desire to want to get to know us! When your staff member Marquette found out we had been traveling for our son’s 18th birthday, he got so excited for him and truly made him feel special! The staff went above and beyond in just wanting us to feel special and welcomed! |The space in the room is incredible! We are a family of four and do not feel crowded whatsoever! The rooms are clean as well as the bathroom! The beds are comfortable! |Location is great for the subway, about a minute away! |Price is beyond fair for location, amenities and customer service! |We would gladly stay here again! ||Thanks Marquette and the entire staff for your hospitality!

Just finished a six-night stay. Location was very close to the red line metro station. Because the facility is only a few floors you really do hear a lot of street noise. Especially police and fire trucks. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. You enter on the ground floor and go up to the second floor to check in. There is a washing machine and dryer on the 8th floor which takes credit cards. The Bistro restaurant is very nice and Moe there is excellent. The chef was good. Cleaning staff was good. They clean every other day or upon request.
Good deal for the price.

When we arrived, we were met with a lovely hotel receptionist, Dionna. She could not have made us more welcome. She offered a complimentary glass of wine and explained the hotels facilities, i.e., the gym swimming pool, etc. The hotel was safe and secure and right beside the Washington metro. All the state monuments and museums were close by. A special mention to a young man called Marqette. He observed that we needed help one night and went out of his way to help us. A real gentleman and a fine asset to the hotel. Thank you, Marrqette.

Finding parking is impossible. There is a valet service but it’s $55 a day. It would’ve helped to have known this before booking reservation.
The agent that checked us in (Adam) was very professional and appeared willing to help and answered many of my questions.
Upon walking to my room, the entire hall smelled like marijuana. How is it that this is a smoke free hotel but the hall and rooms smelled full of weed?
Checked into my room and at first glance all appeared on. Looked into the small bathroom and the shower was full of mold in the crevices and corners. There was also a rag hanging on the smoke detector. Why?
Adam was very understanding and cancelled our reservation. We were able to get our full refund.

I cont recommend this hotel highly enough for the price. The location (half a block from the metro, surrounded by easy grab-and-go restaurant options, near Trader Joe’s), the cleanliness of the rooms, and especially the staff, Starting with Nicole and others at the front desk, to the baggage hold, the cleaners, and security. It was such a nice experience that when I needed to come back to DC a week later I stayed at this hotel again!

3.5 for me. Pros: next to a Metro station, close to Union Station and the inner DC core, nearby Trader Joes, 7-11, Domino's, food eatery mall. 15 minute Metro ride to the National Mall area (good enough for tourists that want to rest and go out again). Located in a decent area of the city. Our room felt slightly small but overall clean and comfortable. I didn't eat or visit the bar area of the hotel so I can't comment.

We stayed here for 3 nights for our trip in DC. Checkin was smooth and the guy who attended to us was very friendly and even tried to do small talk with his little knowledge of our country (Philippines), bless him! The welcome cookies and water was a nice touch.

We stayed in a King Room with a Sofa Bed and it was good size and comfortable. Housekeeping was prompt and cleaned our room daily.

The Location is great, just near a metro station and a lot of food options around. There’s also a 7 Eleven right beside the hotel which is so convenient! Will definitely stay here again next time we’re in DC.

Vorsicht vor diesem Hotel!!! Reservierungen werden kurz vor Ankunft einfach einseitig durch das Hotel storniert, ohne die Gäste zu informieren. Als Vorwand nannte man uns eine angebliche Überbuchung der Zimmer. Dumm nur, dass wir nicht die einzigsten Gäste an dem Tag waren, wessen Buchung einfach storniert wurde. Vor Ort wurden während der Zeit wo wir dort waren (ca. 1 Stunde), 4 weitere Gäste abgewiesen mit der selben Begründung. Es scheint also eine gewisse Masche des Hotels zu sein, Zimmer für einen höheren Preis weiter zu verkaufen und die „günstigen“ Buchungen einfach zu stornieren. Leider bekommt man weder durch die Marriott Guest Relation, noch über den Veranstalter (in unserem Fall stayforlong) irgendeine Unterstützung und es meldet sich tagelang niemand zurück. Somit muss man vor Ort kurzfristig selbst ein Hotel in der wertvollen Urlaubszeit suchen und die Mehrkosten auch erstmal tragen. Auf die Rückmeldung von Marriott warten wir mittlerweile schon seit 4 Wochen. Sehr schade, denn bislang hatten wir ausschließlich gute Erfahrungen mit dieser Hotelgruppe gesammelt. Die enstandenen Mehrkosten (für die kurzfristige Buchung eines anderen Hotels am selben Tag) hat uns bislang niemand erstattet, obwohl das Hotel Courtyard Washington, DC/U.S Capitol angeblich 1.000 US$ Strafgebühr für die Stornierung an den Veranstalter gezahlt hat. Was hier stimmt können wir nicht sagen, da sich unser Veranstalter bislang nicht zu dem Fall geäußert hat. Selbst die Ersattung vom vorab gezahlten Betrag für die Buchung, mussten wir bei der Hotline von Stayforlong nach der Reise proaktiv einfordern. Außer auf eine negative Bewertung über eine Bewertungsplattform im Internet, hatte nämlich niemand von Stayforlong auf unsere Nachrichten und E-Mails reagiert. Erst 3 Wochen nach der ersten E-Mail schrieb man uns, dass man die Buchungsreferenzen und den Sicherheitscode benötige, um den Fall bearbeiten zu können.
