Residence Inn Washington, DC/Dupont Circle

I really liked this hotel. I spent 12 nights here. The room was extremely spacious, which was excellent for an extended stay, and had very good amenities. It was like a studio apartment. I mostly appreciated the above and beyond service from the staff who were all very helpful. The parking was very convenient, just an elevator ride directly to my car. The location is excellent -- just two blocks to Dupont circle. The hotel was under construction during my stay, which was not a problem -- I think it's a good thing, as the only complaint I had was that the hotel felt a little old -- but it seems they know this and are working on improving it. Also, I did not receive any upgrade (I am Marriott Titanium)-- which isn't so unexpected given the length of the stay. This definitely was not a problem, as the regular room was very large without an upgrade. I would definitely stay here again -- it was just a very comfortable and relaxed hotel.

The Location was so close to where I needed to go. It's pretty busy in that area but I had not problems getting around or finding places to shop or eat. Evening getting to the train station was super simple. The staff made you feel like you were a family member visit from out of town. Everyone acknowledges everybody with a sense of honest, humble hospitality. Those croissants at breakfast were impeccable. Service was very one on one, even when the dining area was full. No one was rushed or judged. The staff seemed to take their time with everyone and show genuine care. The experience received by the staff and the overall cleanliness of the hotel. You forget all about the renovations that are taking place right in front of you. I was impressed.

I recently stayed at the Residence Inn and had an exceptional experience! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. The front desk team was extremely friendly, professional, and always willing to assist with anything I needed. By far one of the best hotel and services i’ve ever received.

We enjoyed our stay here as the hotel is in good shape, the staff are excellent and the location is fun and interesting. However, it’s always the staff that make a stay memorable! Jennifer checked us in and was helpful. Shaka was doing some repairs and was super nice, taking the time to greet me and ask if we needed anything. Maria, our maid, was very friendly and helpful Dony in breakfast room was helpful and friendly. Last but especially not least not least, Ronita is a wonderful host in the evening who also whips up some awesome chocolate chip cookies! Our room was spacious, the onsite laundry worked and self parking, while quite expensive, was convenient. The DuPont farmers market was only a block away on Sunday morning! We look forward to returning! Life is good with an excellent stay at a Marriott property.

I was amazed at how friendly the staff was. The fact that they were "happy" translated to excellent customer service including help with area recommendations and accommodating other requests. The free breakfast included eggs, waffles, bread, yogurt, cereal, and oatmeal with toppings daily. Breakfast also had a rotating item such as bacon, sausage, veggie sausage, hash browns, etc. The coffee included regular, decaf, and cold brew. Over and over again the staff proved to be attentive and caring. Rooms were clean and had no odors or other problems. The only "issue" to consider is that the location close to a hospital has the noise of ambulance sirens on a somewhat-frequent basis. Walkability to nearby restaurants and Metro station was very convenient. Secure underground parking garage was $50 per night plus tax. Will return here!

We just completed a multi-night stay with my family of five. I highly recommend this hotel. Even though they were in the midst of a refurbishment, everything was terrific. And the price for a 2-bedroom, 2 bath suite was very low, in my opinion. The rooms were large and clean. Our bathrooms had been redone and were nice. Water pressure was good, which is key for me. All appliances were in good shape and worked well. Service was terrific. Staff was super nice, and quickly solved our one issue where our shampoo bottle has accidentally been replaced with a second bath wash bottle. We had to adjust our travel days due to the storm and the staff was super accommodating and handled our adjustments without any issues, even though they didn't have to. The breakfast was great each day, too. If they have the egg and spinach dish, get it! My oldest daughter loved it, and I think it was the kiss on Old Bay. Also, the nearby food was good and there were plenty of options. We walked to the White House one night, which was about a mile and a super easy walk. Metro is nearby, too. Also, we took Uber/Lift down to the mall and it ranged from$10-$13 for the XL car needed to fit all five of us. So, about the same cost as 5 Metro fares. Great stay, highly recommend.

The staff is very welcoming. The location is fantastic. The photos must be stock because the hotel looks nothing like them. The lobby is small. The rooms are not upkept very well with water marks on the ceiling. Stains on the tub and trash in the corners. My outlets by the sink didn't work. Luckily, I wasn't in the room much, but I expected more compared to other Residence Inns I've stayed in.

This is a great place to stay. Clean, centrally located. The staff is friendly and always willing to help in any way. Ronita at the front desk is amazing. She went out of her way every day to make sure we had a great experience in DC. Great asset to the company. Breakfast staff are fantastic!
