Hampton Inn Washington, D.C./White House

Our family of four visited the city for the first time, and the location was perfect for exploring all the various museums and attractions within walking distance. The hotel was clean and had a friendly atmosphere. Our room was spacious and provided everything we needed. The valet service was excellent! The morning buffet was the kids' favorite part of the trip; they loved the wide variety of choices, especially the hot chocolate by the coffee station. The hot breakfast changed daily and offered a good selection, with the make-your-own waffles being a highlight. The complimentary warm cookies in the afternoon were a nice touch. Overall, this place runs like a well-oiled machine. Everything was great during our four-day visit, and we will definitely be back again!

Excellent hotel for service, location and price. The hotel has everything you need including breakfast, fitness center and laundry facilities. Staff is helpful and friendly. Rooms are regular U.S. size hotel rooms not like NYC or London. Plenty of space to move around and they are queens not doubles. Kid and family friendly, they even have an indoor pool. Fresh baked cookies in the afternoon each day is a nice treat after full days of sight seeing.

Amazing hotel just a five-minute walk from the White House! The lobby is spacious and cozy. The breakfast service really complete, with a wide offer to choose from. The staff was super kind. The room was spacious (mind it´s cleaned every other day): comfortable bed, big TV, desk and coffee machine. Metro stop is just around the corner and bus stop on the other block. I´ll come back if possible!

Excellent experience! Stayed for several days. Breakfast has several options bacon, eggs, and potatoes, waffles. The protein changed each day, we had bacon the next day was sausage. We enjoyed the change each day. Customer service is top notch! A bonus is valet parking. DC can be overwhelming to find parking. Our valet person Solomon was the best! This guy went above and beyond to provide the best service which made our stay even better! Everything is in walking distance from hotel. Very clean and safe hotel!

I have stayed here going on 3 years now. This used to be an amazing place. The rooms are outdated. They used to make honors guests feel special and they used to break out a bartesian every night for happy hour. All that is gone and it feels like an upscale motel 6 now.

Excellent location--- two blocks from the White House; amazingly reasonable rates for such a choice location-- nice free breakfast included. A big welcome from the staff, all of whom were friendly, warm and responsive. Our room was not large, but perfectly adequate: clean, comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed our stay and would do it again, and we'll certainly recommend this pleasant and well-run hotel.

I stayed here as a solo female traveler on my first trip to D.C. Safety was my number one priority and concern, and I did not feel unsafe at any time during my stay. The front desk and valet staff were very friendly and happy to provide local recommendations. The surrounding area was clean and well-trafficked, and I felt safe walking around alone at night. Close to lots of great restaurants and cafes. ~30 minute walk to the monuments and the national mall which is very doable on a nice day. If walking isn't for you, Farragut West Station with direct lines to the Smithsonian station is just steps away. I would stay here again based on the location alone. It is certainly a no-frills hotel, but the rooms were clean and well kept. The complimentary breakfast was a nice addition to save some money but not a 5 star meal. Overall, I was very pleased with my experience for the low price of the hotel.

Nice and clean Hampton Inn. Very close to the White House. The rooms are not large, but clean and modern. Breakfast is simple buffet style, but will fill you up if you’ve had a busy day for travel. Put this one on your list when you just need a place to stay. It has an on-site Jim , but no on-site restaurant. Not a lot of frills, but get the job done
