I had an excellent stay at this property. The check-in experience was seamless, thanks to Chanda’s exceptional service. She was professional, courteous, and thorough in ensuring all details were accurately verified, making the process safe and enjoyable. Her outstanding dedication truly enhanced my overall experience. She is the reason I have a 4/5. The experience starts at the check in and she did not miss a beat!!

I stayed at this hotel while in town for a basketball tournament. Loved the location, ease of parking, and the clean, quiet accommodations met our needs. We walked to local restaurants and shopping and enjoyed the neighborhood.

Mostly, I’m here to comment on the service. As I went in and out, I was greeted with a smile, and bantered with hotel staff about our matching Nike shoes. Big shout out to Roxanne who tended to the room after checkout. She turned in a bag I left behind with my computer and wallet! Bless her!!! I spoke with Chanda and Laverne who helped coordinate plans to mail the items to my home.

From start to finish and beyond, I enjoyed my stay at Courtyard Chevy Chase and would recommend this hotel with high praise.

Safety
I’m from out of town and never been to the metro area. I was very concerned with where to stay that would be safe at night. This is the place. Never felt unsafe at all!
Service
The staff here went out of their way to be a help to us on our stay. They were very hospitable and eager to help with towels, and toiletries. The part that stood out the most was the General Manager. It was raining one morning and the General Manager lent us his personal umbrella! It’s this kind of service that will bring us back for sure!
Rooms
The room was very nice. Clean and a good set up. They came by every day to clean and restock.

Overall, this is where I’ll be staying every time I come to the area. 10/10!

I had a great stay. I needed a night to myself and I’ve had many memories in this hotel. Beds are so comfortable, the staff is so nice and you can get really low rates at this hotel compared to others nearby in dc. And it’s peaceful and quiet on this street at night so you don’t get the loud traffic. Highly recommend!

The customer experience they provided was for a much cheaper hotel. The garage smelled like urine. I know they don’t own it, it is part of their building, but they could have someone clean their area. The hotel was about 40% occupancy and they put me in a room that wrapped around the elevator shaft on two walls. I could hear the elevator all the time. I don’t know who redesigned their bathrooms, but the shower was a disaster. They put the controls on the opposite wall from the head which was nice, then they had the door to the shower swing into the shower. That in and of itself was a first, but when you opened it, it swung and blocked the controls. Your options were to just get in the shower and brave turning it in from cold or trying to reach around and turn it on and get out before getting too wet and deflecting too much water onto the floor. The breakfast was extra. Parking was extra. The tv volume was limited so you could not turn it too high. Not great for a person with hearing impairment. I think I am confident saying that everyone uses a cup or glass in the bathroom. Put them in there. Why do I have to go to the coffee area to get one? The security door in the garage to the elevators was not locking so anyone could walk in. It was $279/night++ the product they delivered was that of a hotel costing $125/night.

Loved the location. Staff was friendly. But there were roaches in my room. I didn’t make a big fuss about it because I was sick and not feeling well at all. I let management know and sent an email like I was advised, but it’s four days later and I still haven’t heard anything. Very disappointing. I spend so much money with Marriott on travel and with my Bonvoy credit card.

Come here for business trip. Have breakfast credit because of the contract and that’s why I came over for breakfast. They overcharged me for some non-existent service fee so that the final amount did not match with the receipt picture I took. Cause some headache with the reimbursement process because of this mistake. It’s my first time ever came across this issue in the US and Marriott should be even more professional which is disappointing. The food & beverage’s director’s attitude was bad and impatient when I pointed out the issue over the phone. Do not recommend this place for the service like this.
