We just got back from DC this morning. Embassy Suites Georgetown is amazing. Hot breakfast with omelets made to order, pool with hot tub and huge clean rooms. The is a $25 per night resort fee, but you get a $25 credit each day to spend in the grab n go or restaurant. You get 2 free alcoholic or non alcoholic drinks at 17:30-19:00, plus a daily rotating snack. Highly recommend!

Really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is clean and beautiful. The staff is very attentive and kind. They were very accommodating, with allowing me to store bags before check in and after check out. Received 2 free happy hour drinks every evening. The food for dinner was excellent. My only issue is that it's a bit far from the things you'd normally come to DC to see (capital, museums, etc), that can be addressed with Ubers and local car services, although that can quickly add up. Overall I enjoyed my experience and would book here again. Absolutely recommend it.

Quite pleased and impressed with the stay. Service was great, breakfast food selection is excellent, room is large and clean and the atmosphere overall is positive and welcoming. It's located at the West end, the nearest underground metro is less than 10 minutes walk. It's one of the hotels that you are happy to come back to stay again. Give this place a try if you are in DC area 🇺🇸🥳👍🏼

A Nightmare Experience at Embassy Hotel by Hilton – AVOID AT ALL COSTS

As a 19-year-old solo traveler, I endured a truly appalling experience at Embassy Hotel by Hilton. After traveling 12 hours from Canada, I arrived at the hotel around 12 PM, exhausted but excited to settle in for the night. I was informed that check-in wasn’t until 4 PM, which is fair, so I left my name and bags with the staff and set out to explore the city.

After five hours of exploring, I returned, drained and ready to rest, only to be told I couldn’t check into my room because I wasn’t 21 years old. This came as a complete shock since I had thoroughly checked the policies before booking through a third party and even called the hotel to confirm there would be no issues. At no point was there any mention of a 21+ age restriction for check-in.

When I explained my situation, the staff repeatedly dismissed me with a robotic “there’s nothing we can do” response, citing it as the hotel’s policy. What made the situation worse was their total lack of empathy or effort to help. They didn’t show me any written policy stating the age restriction—only repeated it verbally. Worse still, they refused to assist me in finding alternative accommodations, essentially abandoning me to figure things out on my own in an unfamiliar city during nighttime.

As if that weren’t enough, I was told I could speak to the manager, who would arrive at 6 PM. Desperate, I waited until 7 PM, but the manager never showed up. Instead, the staff brushed me off again, saying, “He’ll probably say no to you as well.”

After wasting hours of my time and being left helpless, I had to wander from hotel to hotel to find a place to stay. Thankfully, another hotel’s staff showed the decency and humanity that Embassy Hotel by Hilton so sorely lacks.

This was one of the most inhumane and careless experiences I’ve ever endured. The complete disregard for a young solo traveler’s safety and well-being was disgusting. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. If you’re considering staying here, think twice—it’s not worth the risk of being treated so poorly.

This hotel was fantastic. I am a consistent Embassy customer but had never stayed at this location. We were here for a DC trip with our young kids to explore the monuments and history of the capital. I was pleased with all aspects of the hotel. The parking garage was safe and secure. The breakfast was fantastic every morning (and wasn't overcrowded like some other Embassy locations). The room was great and the housekeeping was 10/10. The only "minor" negative was that there was no quick/easy access to a metro station (about a 15 minute walk from the nearest), so you'll need to plan for that if you want to use public transportation.

We enjoyed the Labor Day weekend at this hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious. Happy hour consisted of chips, humus ranch, carrots and celery. The free drinks made up for the minimal snacks. The dinner coupon provided was $25.00. You receive this in exchange for a hotel fee. As an example 2 shrimp tacos were $21.00 no sides were included. The price for the meals was definitely inflated. Management was great but bar service staff and evening waitress staff not so much.
