Such great food & service! First time going during the afternoon it was so peaceful and lovely, not too loud or crowded. Our waitresses Heidi and Sam (I think) were very friendly and attentive, which was highly appreciated. Gave us great recommendations for the food as well 🙂

I had dinner with two friends at Au Za'atar Midtown East on January 1, 2025 and we had an amazing meal.

We ordered the Veg Mezze & Dips Spinner and loved all of it, especially the freshly baked, puffy pita. We were fighting over the last of the cauliflower and potatoes. We also enjoyed our drinks and a couple of meat mezze.

It was an easy walk from the Midtown Hilton and we were seated immediately with our reservation.

Our waiter, Joshua, was friendly, funny, and attentive. Overall, it was a lovely evening. I would highly recommend!

Service was great. Arthur helped us and he was friendly and patient.

I accompanied a friend despite me not being hungry, of course I had to order something. I ordered the shish tawook salad. Oh my goodness that chicken was so tender and flavorful, probably the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend you try it.

They also make fresh bread which is always a plus.

The restaurant inside is gorgeous, I love it. We were sat as soon as we arrived so wait time around 7pm or so wasn’t bad at all.

Overall I would recommend it.

Wondering about parking? Well as always, it’s better for you to get dropped off or take the train or bus unless you want to drive around looking for parking.

Just amazing from start to finish. Customer service despite being busy was amazing, we were checked on regularly. Food was delicious every dish we ordered was perfect. The staff also looked after our 2 daughters and provided free Ice-cream too. A Must try!

It was all warmth and vibrant flavors inside this delicious Lebanese restaurant: a perfect escape on a snowy evening. Our server Helen was an absolute delight and so was the entire staff. We shared the Dalaa Mahshi for two: braised lamb shoulder stuffed with minced beef, seasoned rice, herbs, and nuts—a traditional dish often served for holidays. PLENTY leftovers for our husky German shepherd, Scout. Also, impressed with the muhammara: blend of spicy & sweet pepper with walnuts & pomegranate molasses. Great cocktails. Too full for dessert. But we’ll be back to try more items soon.

Helen greeted us with such warmth and energy that we knew we were in for something special and the recommendations she gave her spot on. From the first bite, every dish felt like a celebration of flavors. The Spicy Hummus was perfectly balanced with just the right kick, the Meat Flatbread was hearty and satisfying, and the off-menu Shawarma? A true hidden gem.

This is a wonderful spot to have some Lebanese food. We stuck to veggie options and order the three tier veggie appetizer. Honestly every item on the tower was sooo good and I loved that I had multiple things try. Our waiter www Flavio and he was really helpful and nice. He kept coming back to make sure our bread basket never got empty or nothing was in our way. We also got a few drinks and they all were really good. Especially the fresh watermelon.
